Rev. Danna Drum continues the sermon series:  Social Media, Intimacy, and Healthy Relationships: What it Takes to Build Deep and Enduring Relationships Across Life. Whether you are looking to deepen, repair, form, choose better, enhance relationships, there will be something in this series for ALL of us! What does it take to build intimate, healthy deep and enduring relationships across life? Each teaching will be grounded in Biblical texts and the relationships we find there. We’ll also weave throughout, Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, etc…) and how it enhances or undercuts intimacy in relationships.
Read 2 Corinthians 2:1-4 and consider the questions below in preparation for the message, “Truth-telling, Trust and Forgiveness.”
Questions for Reflection:

  1. Who are your “marble jar friends” – those friends that trust one another with their deepest fears and joys and support one another’s accountability?
  2. Truth-telling requires us to know ourselves and the values that define our integrity.  What are the values that define your integrity?
  3. Do you recall a time when you told someone your truth?  What was that experience like for you?  What did it take for you to do that truth-telling?  What was the impact on your relationship with that person?  What did you learn from this truth-telling experience?
  4. Paul’s relationship with the Church at Corinth was very important to him — so important that he spoke frankly with the Corinthians, sometimes in ways that were hard for Paul to share and hard for the them to hear.  What are your own experiences with significant relationships that require frankness, trust, accountability and forgiveness?
