Some Things You Might Like to Know About Us:

LOUMC is a place to connect to God, to each other and to the world. This is our vision. We find strength and inspiration in God and seek to grow in our relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. We reach out to each other, care for each other and strive to build each other up in love. And we commit to do what is in our power to make the world a better place through service and seeking justice in our community and our world.

We are a part of the Oregon-Idaho Conference of the United Methodist Church. Please click on the links to learn more about our beliefs, our missions and ministries, and the structure of our global church.

You are welcome here. No matter your religious background or your walk of life. We look forward to meeting you.

What Time is Worship?

We have two worship services on Sunday mornings, each with a different style and feel.
(In the summer we have only one service at 9:30am)

Our Casual Service: Meet us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am for a worship service filled with uplifting, contemporary music with a casual look and feel. The message is the same, but the music is led by a band with guitars and keyboards. Each service lasts about one hour. Coffee is available during and after the service.

Our Traditional Worship Service: Come to the Sanctuary at 10:30am for a more traditional service with a choir, organ, piano and handbells. Sing familiar hymns and experience classical and gospel style music in a more traditional atmosphere. Each service lasts about an hour. Be sure to save a little time after the service to join us for coffee in the Fellowship Hall! It's a great time to meet some members of our church family!

What Should I Wear?

You will fit in no matter how you dress! There are some who enjoy wearing a coat and tie, others wear  jeans, some have just ridden their bikes to the church, and some have just come in from their child's soccer game! We take you as you are and want you to be comfortable.

Where Should I Park?

We have a large parking lot in front of the church and a smaller lot behind the church. We even have a few spots out front reserved for first time visitors! Feel free to use one!  If you park in the back, walk up the sidewalk and enter through the double doors, then either take the elevator or the stairs on your right. When you reach the upper level, the sanctuary will be on your right.

Where Do I Go Once I Arrive?

There are greeters at the front doors and ushers who will give you a bulletin and help you find a seat! Feel free to ask them if you have more questions.

What About the Kids?

We provide nursery care for babies and toddlers up to age 3 during both services. Children's Sunday School, for preschool through 5th grade, is during the 9:00 hour. Children begin the service in the Sanctuary with their parents and are dismissed and led down to their classrooms after the "children's message." Parents are welcome to accompany their child to get them settled if they would like. Parents can meet their children downstairs at the door to their classrooms after worship.

I Have a Preteen or Teenager...

There are Sunday School classes for Middle School and High School youth during the 9:00 service. Students meet their teachers downstairs in their rooms at 9:00 for age appropriate, Christ centered discussion. High School youth meet in the kitchen on the 3rd Sunday of the month, where they cook meals for homeless youth.
