How Big is Your Neighborhood?
Gospel Lessons from Mr. Rogers and Ms. Rachel
The season of Lent is an invitation to introspection – taking an honest look at ourselves and being open to the Spirit’s work to draw us back toward God. But interior spiritual work can become navel-gazing if we don’t have good partners to guide us. And so during this season of Lent we’ll be listening to some of our ancestors and contemporaries who can inspire our Lenten journey.
We’ll begin with everyone’s favorite neighbor, Mr. Rogers, and someone who is carrying on his work, Ms. Rachel. What might these two children’s educators have to say to us about the radical act of kindness?
Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and Luke 10:25-29 to prepare for Sunday’s sermon, “How Big is Your Neighborhood?”
The livestream will be available February 22 at 10:30am or any time after. You can download the bulletin from the February 19 or 22 QuickNews on the News page of our website.
