Sin No More?
We sort-of-progressive Christians tend not to talk about sin, per se, but we recognize its power. We see the ways that human greed causes harm. We know that political (and economic and religious) systems enshrine and expand power for some, while oppressing many more. We are all too familiar with racism, sexism, homophobia and the other prejudices that dehumanize others. Can we learn to name the sin we see in our world and in our own hearts? And then how might we free ourselves from sin’s pervasive power?
Join us Sunday, June 21 at 10:00 for the livestream, or watch the recording any time after. Read Romans 6:1b-11 and Matthew 10:24-31 to prepare for the sermon, “Sin No More?” The bulletin can be downloaded from our June 18 or 21 QuickNews on the “News” page.
