Good & Weird & Problematic
Song writing may be inspired by God, but it is also a human endeavor. Hymns can be profoundly meaningful, draw us toward God, and become a touchstone of faith. But songs can also sometimes miss the mark, musical tastes can change, and sometimes the author of a song can be problematic. We’ll explore some of the most meaningful spiritual songs we know, as well as some holy duds, and we’ll reflect on why we choose the music we choose for worship. (We’ll also sing the Doxology and the Gloria!)
The livestream will be available at 10:00 or any time after on August 17. Read Psalm 150 and Colossians 3:12-17 in preparation for Sunday’s service “Good & Weird & Problematic”. The bulletin can be downloaded from the August 14 or 17 QuickNews on our News page.
