You Never Know
The prophet Amos speaks challenging words on God’s behalf to the people of Israel, declaring that God is not pleased by their religious practice if they ignore the call to live justly. Jesus offers a warning to his followers to keep alert and not to lazily await the day of their deliverance.
These warnings offer us guidance as well: You never know what tomorrow holds, so let us strive to live faithfully in every moment.
Join us Sunday morning, November 12th at 10:30am (or later) for worship. Read Amos 5:18-24 and Matthew 25:1-13 in preparation for Sunday’s sermon “You Never Know.”
You can download the bulletins from the November 9 or 12 QuickNews.
