“So neither the one who plants nor who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow. The one who plants and who waters have one purpose For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” ~I Corinthians 3: 7-9 NIV

Pastor Michelle continues her four week sermon series “Letters to the Church in Uncertain Times” with Week 4: It Takes a Village (and an ample supply of Spirit). Read I Corinthians 3: 4-9, 16, 21-23 and consider the questions below in preparation for the message.

Questions for Reflection (for today and beyond)

1. Think of one of your most wonderful church experiences in life (or a time in this current church’s life) and what/who made it so? What makes a church family strong and it’s worship/ministries, vital? Talk about faith and resilience.

2. In what ways does this church feel like family to you? How do both the good and challenging qualities of family life mirror themselves in the church? How can family life afford us peace and hope?

3. What are you most excited about these days for the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church? How can you be part of that village, that movement? What is the role of the Spirit?
