William has served a number of churches over the years as music director and organist and has led an active career as a concert musician, composer, and recording artist. He is grateful for the opportunity to be serving the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church congregation as organist and accompanist.
With degrees in organ performance, sacred music, and choral conducting, William brings a broad background of experience and education to his work at LOUMC. In addition to his work as a leader in sacred music, he continues an active concert career, appearing across the country as an organist, pianist, choral conductor, and instructor. He has also acted as a consultant for churches who were building new instruments and congregations seeking renewal and new direction in their worship and music programs. In addition to a number of recordings of original piano compositions, concert events, and sacred choral music which he has produced in the past, William will be releasing four new recordings in 2016 of his organ performance.
William recently moved to Portland from Phoenix, Arizona with his spouse, Daryl, and two dogs. They love living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and enjoy a variety of activities, including kayaking, hiking, the fine arts, and photography.
