The result of a very generous gift from one of our members, we celebrate the installation of a
new, custom Rodgers Infinity 361 organ in our church sanctuary. Installed and dedicated to
God’s glory in June of 2017, our new instrument is delighting and inspiring those who worship
at our traditional service.
Rodgers Organs feature the most advanced in digital organ technology available today.
Sampling organs from around the world, the tonal resources of the new Rodgers organ is
simply outstanding. In addition to traditional pipe organ stops, the new sanctuary instrument
also features a number of beautiful orchestral, band, and theater organ sounds as well.
Our staff organist, Concert Artist, William Barnett, is delighted with the sound of the new
instrument and has remarked that he is thrilled with the rich, realistic pipe sound created by the
latest Rodgers Organ models.
The organ features: 61 dedicated primary voices and a total of 376 additional sounds in the
tonal palette; five divisions – Great, Choir, Swell, Pedal, and Solo; built in BlueTooth™
technology; mechanical draw knobs; special voicing for American, French, English; and
German organs; velocity control for orchestral voices; 99 levels of memory; built in digital
recording and playback; RSS room modeling; on board tonal finishing; and more.
The new organ will be dedicated in concert on Sunday, September 24th, at 3:00pm, in a
program featuring the music of: Aaron Copland; Claude Daquin; Johann Sebastian Bach;
Samuel Barber; Camille Saint-Saens; Giacomo Meyerbeer; Henri Mulet, and others.
Below are some photos of the installation process.
