The Methodist church has a rich tradition of music, and Lake Oswego United Methodist Church has a wonderful music program to prove it! We enjoy the music of Flipside praise band at our 8:45 Sunday Morning Alive! worship service. The traditional worship service at 10:00 includes music by our talented organist, Chancel Choir, Lake Carillon and Vesper Bell choirs as well as regular appearances by the Junior choir and Angel choir.

The mission of our music groups is to glorify God:

  •  Help to lead the congregation in worship through inspirational music;
  •  Uplift the congregation and the community at large through concerts and other musical events;
  •  Offer their members opportunities for musical growth, spiritual enrichment, and social interaction.

Our talented organist and pianist, William Barnett, came to Lake Oswego United Methodist Church in January, 2016. Listen to the recording below to enjoy one of the pieces he has shared with us!

During the summer months and, occasionally during the academic year, we host various visiting musicians as well as soloists, duets and small groups from our congregation.

On September 27 we were treated to special music by Handbells Unlimited!
