Community Transitional School supplies collection Aug. 13 – 31

The Community Transitional School (CTS) has served the homeless children of the greater
Portland area for more than 25 years. Providing a stable, year-round, school environment for
children who do not have a permanent residence, the school holds daily classes and also provides
breakfast and lunch, some clothing and other essentials, and food bags for students and their
families. CTS relies on fund raising, volunteers, and donations. For the fifth year, we would like
to collect a selection of supplies from CTS’s ‘wish list’ to donate as the school year begins.
Please contribute items from the list below from August 13 through August 31. Boxes will be
placed in the lobby near the church office. CTS can only store these items and it asks that other
common school supply items NOT be contributed at this time. CTS also greatly appreciates cash
donations; please write a check to LOUMC with CTS in the memo line. Thank you for
supporting this outstanding community service organization.
